WI RealSurvival Kit Videos

We are getting ready to start production on the videos that are to be used in training for the WI RealSurvival Kit. To give you an idea of what will be contained in the videos, I am supplying a link to view the outline of the contents of each video. At this point there are to be 8 primary videos produced, with 2 others to follow. Ultimately the plan is to have many more, going more into detail on many of the items and skills covered in the initial set.

The following link will allow you to view the outline document, it will also auto-update as changes are made. WI RealSurvival Kit Video Production Outline

In other news, in the ongoing process of producing the WI RealSurvival Kit, we will undoubtedly have some improvements. We will update your kit as these come along, keep checking this blog to be aware, then email me at perry@wildernessinnovation.com to arrange delivery. During the initial roll out of the product we intend to make these changes at no cost to you.

We are very excited to see this product going to market. I know I am getting many comments on how many essential items are in the Kit. This is truly a top quality product and all the video information will make it all the more valuable. Once you see the ideas and how-to's, when it comes time to use the Kit, it will be easy, "Simplifying Survival" that's our Motto at Wilderness Innovation.

Take care, be safe, and take our RealSurvival Kit with you wherever you go.

Until next time

WI RealSurvival Kits now ready

Finally the WI RealSurvial Kits are ready, some have been sold and shipped already. I believe it is the best kit on the market. The items it contains are truely essential and valuable, many with multiple functions. There will be in the beginning 8 videos, demonstrating key functions of the kit and "how to's" for best utilization of the kit.

The Kit is contained in a rugged Cordura bag, with a First Aid Kit in it's own nylon bag, and the WI FireStarter Kit in it's own nylon bag. Here's a list of the Items in the Kit.

  • Swiss Army Hiker/Camper knife
  • WI FireStarter Kit
  • 550 Paracord 20 feet
  • First Aid Kit
  • Emergency Blanket
  • Plastic for water still
  • Foil for containers/cookware
  • Whistle
  • Compass
  • LED light
  • Fish Hooks
  • Waxed string
  • Sewing Kit
  • Poncho

Several of the items are Kits; the Sewing Kit is a standard basic sewing kit, the First Aid Kit contains; bandages, gauze pads, alcohol pads, pain relievers, triple anitbiotic creams, Hydrocortisone Cream, adhesive tape.

The FireStarter Kit comes in a nylon bag, and includes the standard size
magesium bar with integral sparker rod, a blade for scraping shavings and throwing sparks, a 20 foot roll of our wax paper tinder, and a small bag of WI FireStix for extending burning time up to 20 minutes in tough situations.

If you have this kit with you and learn how to use it you should be able to take care of yourself in most any situation. The cost of the WI RealSurvival Kit is $87.00, compare that to other kits available and you will not find one outfitted like this anywhere for this price. Most kits will have a cheap $4 imitation Swiss Army knife, when your safety hangs in balance, depend upon quality. The Kit weighs 17 oz.

Website Now Up

Good news, the WI (Wilderness Innovation) website is now operational, in a basic format. I suppose an introduction is in order, perhaps a picture next time as well. My son Zach has an interest in the development of WI, and for the moment we are utilizing his skills in Web Development to promote the business and start to tie in all the various methods of electronic communication available today, that were not really in existence when WI was first around way back in the 80's  :)

The current format of the site is now basic, but still useful as there are built-in links to this blog, and to the videos, we also added email to me, perry@wildernessinnovation.com. The cool thing is the web page is built around a framework that Zach has developed, which will allow us to do everything we would like as soon as we are ready. Thanks to Zach for putting up the site.

In other news I have the schedule for the "Winter Survival" classes. There are 2 sets of classes each running 4 weeks, the first one starts January 22nd 2009 and the second starts February 19th; the times are 7:30pm - 9:00pm Thursdays, and will be taught at Spanish Fork High School, the cost for the class is $35.00.

The WI RealSurvival Kit is coming along, we are designing the pouch or bag that contains it, and will start production in the next 14 days, we already have some orders for it. There will be a series of videos that explain how to get the most out of the kit. There is no other kit available with this kind of detail and quality, and you get free training as well. If someone has the kit with them and has watched the videos, they should be able to make the most of any survival situation.

The WI FireStarter Kit will come available at the same time, and for those who purchase the RealSurvival Kit, you will be pleased to know that the FireStarter Kit is included. There really is no more reliable method for starting a fire than with this kit, you can literally start more than a thousand fires with it. No more worries about wet matches, or running out of matches, a butane lighter breaking or running out of fuel.

Next week there should be details about pricing and availability of these new items. Well that's it for now, be sure to try out the website: www.wildernessinnovation.com Be sure to bookmark it or save it as a favorite, it's quick way to get to this blog or to the videos.
